His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al Jaafari over the anti-terror fight developments and bilateral relations.

During the meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, King Abdullah asserted the importance of strengthening the brotherly relations with Iraq and supporting its security while it rises to confront challenges.

The King stressed Jordan’s support to the Iraqi government’s endeavours in combating extremist groups and commended the Iraqi military’s efforts in countering the Daesh terror group.

The two sides discussed the regional developments and the means to deal with them in a way that guarantees stability and security in the region.

For his part, Jaafari expressed his appreciation to Jordan for its supportive stands towards Iraq in various fields.
