His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday night took part in the Business Council meeting in Florida, which attracted the participation of top executives from major US companies.

King Abdullah discussed with participants prospects of cooperation with Jordan, which offers a safe and lucrative investment environment.

The King also attended a dialogue session titled “Risk management”, held on the sidelines of the council meeting. Panellists addressed current regional developments in the political and economic arenas and ways to deal with them, and listened to His Majesty’s insight into these issues.

The King also briefed the businesspeople on the available investment opportunities and mega-projects the Kingdom is planning to implement in different vital sectors through effective partnerships with local, regional and international economic partners, especially in the fields of renewable energy, infrastructure, transportation and ICT.

The corporate leaders expressed “their admiration of the advanced level the Kingdom has reached, voicing their willingness to benefit from investment opportunities the Jordan’s economy provides in several sectors.”

The 150-member Business Council was established in 1933 as an independent organisation that focuses on exchanging views and translating recommendations into tangible actions aimed at serving the public and private sectors in the US and the world.
