King meets with US Vice President

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with US Vice President Joe Biden and discussed with him the latest developments in the Middle East, namely efforts to fight terrorism and extremism and Jordanian-US cooperation in this regard.

The meeting dealt with the latest developments in Syria. In this context, King Abdullah emphasised the importance of finding a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis to end the suffering of the Syrian people.

The King and Biden discussed Iraq and stressed support for Baghdad’s efforts in its fight against the terrorist Daesh group. The talks touched on efforts to revive Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations, based on the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions.

The meeting also discussed the projects Jordan plans to launch in areas of alternative and renewable energy.
