His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with former Lebanese president and leader of the Phalange Party Amin Gemayel.
During the meeting, attended by Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, King Abdullah underscored Jordan's support for Lebanon in facing various challenges and in enhancing its security and stability.
Gemayel thanked the Kingdom for its assistance in extinguishing fires that broke out in various forest areas in Lebanon, according to the statement.
Gemayel also offered his condolences to King Abdullah over the death of his maternal grandfather, Major General Walter Gardiner, who passed away last Wednesday.
Discussions also covered regional developments and issues of mutual concern.
