His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, inaugurated on Monday the new premises of the forensic and criminal evidence lab at the Public Security Department (PSD).

King Abdullah toured the facility and was acquainted with its equipment and capabilities.

His Majesty said the lab, located in the capital's Dahiyat Al Yasmin suburb, is a qualitative step in advancing the level of services and capabilities of the PSD.

The King was also briefed on PSD efforts to combat crime.

PSD Director Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh said the department is working on enhancing staff performance.
