His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday instructed the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to furnish Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem with carpets at his own expense on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Royal gesture is part of a series of initiatives by the Hashemite leadership that continued across the history of the Kingdom to preserve Al Aqsa Mosque and the other holy sites in Jerusalem.
