King discusses ties, region with US congressional delegation

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with a US congressional delegation, chaired by Representative Michael Conaway (R-Texas), and discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.

During the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, King Abdullah voiced the Kingdom’s keenness on furthering its relations with the US in all fields, expressing appreciation for Washington’s assistance to Amman.

Talks also tackled the challenges facing the region, especially rising terrorism and radicalisation.

For his part, Conaway expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s pivotal role in addressing the region’s woes using a moderate and sound approach.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, King’s Office Director Jafar Hassan and US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells attended the meeting.
