His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Mohammad conveyed the greetings of his brother, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to King Abdullah.
His Majesty emphasised the brotherly ties between the two countries, and his keenness to develop them in various sectors.
The King expressed appreciation for the UAE’s stance and support for Jordan, reaffirming the depth of the historical bilateral ties, which both countries are working to develop within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammad highlighted the strength of the Jordanian-Emirati relationship.
He praised Jordan’s efforts in hosting Syrian refugees and providing them with aid and humanitarian services, thanking the Kingdom for the facilities it has provided to the UAE field hospital in the Zaatari Refugee Camp.
His Majesty and the Abu Dhabi crown prince also discussed developments in the region, especially the Syrian crisis.
The Meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal, the King’s Chief Adviser on Religious and Cultural Affairs and the King’s Personal Envoy His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi, Royal Court Chief Riyadh Abu Karaki, and Director of His Majesty’s Office Imad Fakhoury.
