His Majesty King Abdullah II Thursday made a phone call with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to get ensured on the exacerbating situation in the occupied Palestinian territories triggered by Israel`s military escalation. The King voiced his unequivocal backing to the Palestinian people and his firm rejection to Israel`s flagrant policies.

"I will pursue efforts with US and active international powers to find an outlet to the current Mideast impasse," the Monarch affirmed.
