King & Queen Leave To Sweden
Amman, 7 October 2003

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania left Amman on Tuesday morning to Sweden for a three- day state visit upon an invitation from Swedish Monarch Carl XVI Gustaf.

During the visit, the King will hold talks with the King of Sweden and senior Swedish officials on enhancing bilateral cooperation and regional and international issues of common concern.

His Majesty will also deliver a speech at the institute of foreign policy, meet representatives of Swedish companies and visit a number of technical, scientific and cultural institutions within the frame of enhancing economic, technical and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Their Majesties are accompanied by Chief Chamberlain HRH Prince Ra'ed Ben Zied and HRH Princess Majeda, president of the senate, minister of the Royal Court, Chief of the Royal Court and ministers of foreign affairs, telecommunications and planning.

Their Majesties were seen off at the airport by HRH Prince Faisal Ben Al Hussein, prime minister Ali Abul Ragheb and senior officials.

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Ben Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent.
